Thornton Bank

Located almost 20 miles from the Belgian coastline the Thornton Bank Offshore Wind Farm was completed in mid-2011. The offshore substation jacket comprises of a 4-legged, braced construction with 18 HTV cable receptors for wind turbine connections and provides enough power to meet the annual demands of approximately 270,000 households. An example of the parts protectively coated by Gardwell include the steel framing, deck plating, deck routes, hand railing and ladders.
